Beyond the skills matrix: Introducing the Insights Dashboard

AG5’s Insights Dashboard gives real-time visibility into workforce skills compliance. Discover how it helps to track trends, spot skill gaps, and improve decision-making with data-driven insights.

We are excited to unveil our new Insights Dashboard, a tool that provides real-time visibility into workforce skills compliance – helping organizations ensure regulatory adherence and operational continuity. Its first iteration enables businesses to track skills compliance more efficiently, resulting in streamlined decision-making and improved productivity.

In the next releases, we will introduce insights into key skills, top-performing employees, and compliance trends across teams, locations, and departments. This will help organizations compare skill proficiency across different groups, and pinpoint factors influencing business performance, both positively and negatively.

Measuring what matters Copied

Traditional training metrics often focus on tracking activities or completions. Our Insights Dashboard will take the next step by connecting skills to higher aggregation levels and trends over time, enabling organizations to see how workforce skills contribute to overall business goals like productivity, safety, and quality.

While this is only the beginning, we are committed to continuously enhancing its capabilities to support strategic decision-making and workforce planning.

What sets AG5’s skills insights apart Copied

Our product foundation is built on three key principles. Together, they form the groundwork for delivering an exceptional Insights Dashboard:

1. Time-aware skills data model

AG5 was built to track skills compliance over time. This allows organizations to see past trends, current performance, and future skill needs. With this time-aware model, companies gain a clear and actionable view of workforce dynamics, making insights more accurate and useful.

2. Flexible skill requirements

AG5 allows organizations to set skills as requirements for various aspects of work, including job roles, tasks, locations, projects, or any other way work is structured. This flexibility ensures that skills management aligns with diverse operational needs and organizational structures.

It also supports “Skill Capacity Requirements,” allowing organizations to specify that a minimum number of employees within a designated group (e.g., a team) must possess a particular skill, without assigning it to specific individuals. This flexibility ensures that skills management adapts to diverse operational needs, making insights more practical and actionable.

3. Bottom-up skills management

The quickest way to get started with AG5 is to implement the software within a single team or location, replacing spreadsheets and streamlining skills management from the bottom up. As adoption expands, structured access controls and approval policies ensure high-quality data across all levels of the organization. Whether skill compliance is defined globally or driven by local regulations, AG5 offers a clear, structured view of training and compliance in just three clicks.

Our bottom-up approach ensures that frontline workers and team leaders actively contribute to data accuracy. Meanwhile, higher management gains a reliable foundation for strategic decision-making. This method enables organizations to align local execution with global skill standards, providing strategic insights into compliance trends, skill gaps, and areas for improvement

The road ahead Copied

By applying these three principles, AG5 enables companies to effectively manage the skills of their frontline workforce. This approach helps generate insightful dashboards for team leaders to streamline daily operations, and for C-level management to drive strategic decisions in quality, productivity, and safety.

Looking ahead, we are also investing in AI-driven data quality improvements to enhance insights, ensuring that skills data remains accurate, consistent, and meaningful. Additionally, we are exploring Generative BI (Business Intelligence), leveraging AI to help organizations generate reports, identify trends, and gain deeper strategic insights with minimal manual effort.

Our Insights Dashboard is just the beginning; we’re actively enhancing its capabilities to make skills management a powerful strategic asset. Exciting updates are on the way – and we’d also love to hear your ideas for new features!
